About Steve

Steve Bodnaruk, owner of The Hub Cycling, has 28 years of professional cycling experience and expertise in personalized service, safety training, and customized solutions to the business.His interest in cycling and riding fast began in grade school when he would race city buses and school buses to get to school.  He began building bikes at the age of 15 and hasn't looked back.  Steve began his business career immediately after college at a local New Smyrna Beach shop as a sales and service clerk and was later promoted to store manager.  This became a common theme in his management career.

        

In January 1996, he acted as a technical support marketing representative for all SRAM products which included technical support for all racers at all levels including pro teams.  During this year he also worked as the neutral bicycle mechanic for small countries, Olympic Gold Medalist, Bart Brentjens mountain bike during the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta and with Lance Armstrong during the Tour of the Roses in Austin, TX.

        

Steve's experience includes leading and managing professional cycling stores in Central Florida, including Plan B Cycling in Port Orange where he was named the "Best New Bike Shop” in 2007 by Bicycle Retailers Magazine and David's Cycle World in Altamonte Springs and Lake Mary.

        

His reputation in Central Florida and the industry as the 'go-to' person for bike fitting, personalized service and repair solutions is unsurpassed.  He has completed fitting schools, classes and seminars to learn the muscle benefits of cycling to make riders more comfortable, efficient and faster.

        

Steve has "never worked a day in his life” because of his love and passion for the sport and industry. Steve, his wife, Kristi, and his daughters, Lauren & Mackenzie, know the value of cycling.  These are his and his family's motivations – Bicycles, Community and Lifestyle.
